At our sales stands in Bad Ischl – Pfandl Shopping Park, on the SEP site near the GEG parking area, and at Koaserbauerstraße 10 in 4810 Gmunden. In addition, our trees are also available in our online shop.
Yes, we also deliver the trees in Gmunden and Altmünster. You are welcome to choose your tree directly at the stand or place your order by phone and arrange a delivery date.
It is best to store the tree outdoors. A fresh cut helps it absorb water more effectively. Use a tree stand that can be filled with water and avoid placing the tree directly next to a radiator or heater.
New customers pay by advance payment. For regular customers, the invoice is included with the delivery.
That depends on the tree species and the time of sowing. All items marked as stratified in the online shop require this pre-treatment for spring sowing.
Spring: Delivery from early March to the end of April (orders possible at any time).
Autumn: Delivery from mid-September to early November.
For planning purposes, we require a lead time of at least 2 weeks.
This depends on the tree species. All varieties that are in stock (marked in green in the online shop) can be shipped at short notice from Monday to Wednesday so they arrive before the weekend. Seeds from the new harvest are available between November and February, depending on the species.
Dry seeds: Soak in water for 24 hours (48 hours for hard-shelled seeds such as nuts), place on prepared soil, and cover with soil to about three times the thickness of the seed.
Stratified seeds: Sow immediately after receipt.
In the short term, seeds can be stored in a cool, dry place. For longer storage, professional conditions—such as our optimally climate-controlled cold storage facilities—are best.
We aim to deliver the plants according to your preferences. If weather conditions change:
Spring: Storage for up to 2–3 weeks in our freshness-preserving bags is possible.
Autumn: Plants should be planted as soon as possible or at least heeled in, as they are still “full of sap” and therefore more sensitive.
No. Our minimum order quantities depend on the species and size and are bundled in units of 25 or 50 plants.
Roots that are too long can be shortened by about one third. Root pruning promotes the formation of fine roots. Please use sharp tools only.
The planting hole must fit the roots—not the other way around. Plant deep enough and firm the soil well, especially when planting in autumn.
The plants listed in our price list are bare-root. However, we also offer a selected range of plants in pots (container-grown).
Spring: Early March to mid / late April (depending on weather and dryness).
Autumn: Mid-September to mid-November (deciduous trees from early November).
Seeds: via the online shop, by email, or by phone
Plants: by email or by phone

Stratification is a treatment used to break the natural dormancy of seeds that certain tree species have. This natural mechanism prevents young seedlings from germinating too early and freezing during winter. All tree species that require this pre-treatment are supplied by us pretreated and ready to germinate.
